The Sanskrit alphabet begins with O and ends with M - thus OM encompasses all words that can be said and thus represents the universe as a whole. It is also called the "sound of the universe".

The symbol itself actually consists of three letters - and anyone who often takes part in meditations will certainly know that we don't sing OM, but AUM. Strictly speaking, the A stands for waking, the U for dreaming and the M for deep sleep - in other words, for everything that was, is and will be.

hoffnungsträger glaubt, dass jedes Schmuckstück eine besondere spirituelle Bedeutung hat. Es begleitet dich im Alltag, schützt deinen inneren Frieden und sorgt für gutes Karma. Daher soll es möglichst lange schön bleibt. Hier sind drei Pflegetipps, damit du lange Freude an deinem Schmuck hast.

Aufbewahrung des Schmucks

Bewahre deinen Schmuck nicht in im Badezimmer auf – die hohe Feuchtigkeit des Badezimmers kann die Farben und Materialien verändern und beschädigen. Wenn du den Schmuck nicht trägst, sollte er an einem dunklen, trockenen Ort mit einer weichen Oberfläche aufbewahrt werden. Dadurch wird verhindert, dass Silber oxidiert, oder auch Vergoldungen anlaufen. Die weiche Oberfläche verhindert Kratzer und andere Beschädigungen des Schmucks. Du erhältst die Stücke immer in einer Schmuckschatulle oder einer Ethno-Tasche, also gut aufzubewahren!

Tragen des Schmucks

Der Kontakt mit Wasser, Chemikalien in Lotionen, Körperölen, Kosmetika, Haarspray, Parfums, übermäßiger Hitze oder Feuchtigkeit und Reinigungsmitteln kann zu Verfärbungen führen und die Oberfläche/Vergoldung des Schmucks beeinträchtigen. Daher sollte der Schmuck das Letzte sein, was du anlegst, bevor du ausgehst, und das Erste, was du abnimmst, wenn du nach Hause kommst. Achte darauf, dass der Schmuck z.B. deinen Make-up-Entferner nicht berührt.

Reinigung

Reinige deinen Schmuck sorgfältig mit einem weichen, nicht scheuernden und fusselfreien Tuch; dies hilft, seinen Glanz zu erhalten oder zurückzubringen. Es funktioniert am besten für Sterlingsilber. Vergoldeter/rosévergoldeter Schmuck sollte nicht mit einem Tuch behandelt werden, da sich die Vergoldung lösen kann. 

Bitte beachtet auch, dass Verfärbungen teilweise durch den pH-Wert der Haut verursacht werden. Auch, wenn die oben genannten Tipps sorgfältig befolgt werden, kann sich der Schmuck aufgrund eines hohen pH-Werts verfärben/anlaufen.
